Vintage jumble sneaky peek

The past few days I have been very busy preparing for Saturday's vintage jumble at The Boogaloo.
We don't have a car so it's a case of whatever we can cart, can come!
This amounts to about a rails worth of frocks, a bag of miscellaneous clobber, a suitcase of handbags and knick-knacks and a box of boots and hats.
It should be enough for the virgin run, I'll be taking notes for future reference.
My clothing rail is one of those cheap ones from Argos that falls over when you hang anything on it unless you've got it tied to the wall; needless to say this felt a little disconcerting.
I've had daymare visions of my rail tumbling over and smashing up someones stall,  a floor covered in a holy mess of vintage frockery, broken teacups and cupcakes and me getting an almighty kicking from an angry fellow jumbler in a pristine vintage frock and victory rolls.
I was considering going out and investing in a sturdier rail but then hubby came up with a brilliant idea.
Up in the loft we had two mic stands and they are now acting as the base of my el cheapo rail & it is steady as a rock, fingers crossed it stays like that...
I still have to price-tag  all my stock, that's what I'll be doing tomorrow.
The prices will range from £3-£20 and I'm also planning a £1 bonkers bargain box too.
Here's a sneaky peek of some the stuff we'll be bringing on Saturday...
 Some close-ups...
If you see anything you fancy why not pop along and see me on Saturday, have a good old rummage and come away with some fabulous bargains...
This was today's ensemble:
Vintage 40s floral print silk dress, mesh underskirt, cropped lurex jumper (AGAIN!), crushed velvet booties & tights.
Goose update: I'm very pleased to say that our feathered friend (now known as Lilo) has returned and seems to be a whole lot perkier.
Cue the happy music :)
Have a wonderful Friday peeps!
Lot's of love,
Jennie

Your crushed velvet booties are KILLER. I love them. I hardly ever find stuff like that, but when I do they are never my size. Love the cropped lurex jumper, too. All the clothes and boots look so great. I know how much work something like that must be, but still, I'm jealous!! Sounds like it is going to be so cool. Are those suede peacock boots?? Dare I ask what size?
I also like all the little summer looking LBDs. Vintage LBDs are the best and they are usually really flattering and give you a chance to use accessories like crazy. Sort of an under rated go to vintage item that I often recommend for ladies that are weary of vintage for fear of looking costume-y or dated.
Do you ever have a hard time deciding what to keep or what to sell? I just had to list some things I might have kept because of tight finances... Ughh
I love these updates, keep 'em coming!

Oh, my! What a lovely assortment of pretty jilted frocks gowns and other clothing. How do you bear parting with any of them (swoon). Some very lucky people will doubtless be going home with lovely treasures. Looking at the photos I was entranced at the first sight of the first dress, with its puffy sheer patterned sleeves. I love the red satin gown and the red dress with its tiered ruffled lace starting at the low hip. Surely you're not giving up those pink wigs are you? Unfortunately I live across the pond and won't be popping over. I do love looking.
You ensemble today looks beautiful (as always). The colour of your tights and your lurex jumper is wonderfully feminine. How could I not love that mesh underskirt, and the print on your vintage 40's dress is very pretty too. Have a wonderful and successful time at the Jilted Jumble Saturday!

Sexy lady! I love the crushed velvet boots!!!
I am going to be in London tomorrow, I'm going to try and drag my housemate to the Boogaloo - it would be lovely to meet you and shop your amazing wares- I have my eye on a couple of things already hehe.

There's something for everyone there! Your rail looks wonderful and the pricing spot on. I bet the blue leather skirt adn green boots will be the first two things to go - I always play the "what's going to go first?" game with Jon when we're setting up - simple things and all that!
Mark's idea with the rail was inspired. Hopefully it'll withstand a barricade of rummaging tomorrow.
Have a fantastic day, hope you love it as much as I do! xxxx

I know where the boogaloo is, I went to the Dandy Lion market. I will definitely have to pop up to the jumble when it's on, especially as it seems so cheap. Love you as a vision in purple and florals, is that more lurex? It looks stunning!

Such a fab post. Thanks so much for mentioning me, my stall and my market! You are a super star. Any of your readers who come along will receive a wee gift!
(What a fun Cure video. Such a celebration of clothing! Love the guitarist in the frock.) Great blog in every way, Jennie!
